The Melio API is a B2B payments API that facilitates payouts across the richest aggregator of payment rails (ACH, instant, check, wire, virtual card), while compliance and delivery are handled for you.
The payment rails are live and already move billions in B2B payments. The Melio API that opens those rails is in closed beta, so you can request access now and start in the sandbox once approved.
Melio operates KYB, KYC, AML, and sanctions screening end to end, so you don’t need to create or run a compliance program to move money. To be clear, Melio does not assume risks associated with the product you build; we maintain the payment and regulatory compliance for the rails behind it.
We support collection from a bank (ACH) or credit/debit card and deliver on ACH, check, wire, and virtual card (SUVC). International payouts are coming soon. Mix and match per payout through one API.
No. Vendors receive funds with no Melio account, no portal login, and no setup. You send the payout and Melio delivers it according to the vendor’s preference.
Fast. After your beta application is approved, you get sandbox API keys and can run your first test payout. Once you are set, you can start making real payments.
Melio’s funding orchestration engine drives higher-value rails like virtual card, Fast ACH, or RTP, so recipient businesses get paid faster. As part of our beta, there is also an opportunity to earn interchange and rev-share, with no extra work from your team.
Apply through the developer portal — tell us what you’re building — and we review every application. Approved builders get sandbox access. Pricing follows Melio’s standard transaction fees.
Yes. The Melio API is a clean, typed, idempotent REST API built to be agent-ready for agentic payments. Agentic support is on the roadmap but not part of the current beta.
You can build from anywhere, but the businesses you collect funds from must be US-based. International payouts are coming soon.
Not yet. The Melio API is built for payouts which is money out, accounts payable—not for collecting receivables.
